Actress Andrea Bendewald (Suddenly Susan, Friends, The Morning Show) walked off the audition treadmill in midlife and founded The Art of Circling, a women's-circle practice she has led in Los Angeles and online for more than a decade. She tells Heidi and Constance what actually happens in a circle, why it works on women our age and how it grew into a second career, including her podcast Circle This. Her prescription for midlife disorientation skips the supplements and the retreats: a room of women you trust and a structure that lets you tell the truth. This is a full on laugh out loud spectacular with the amazing Luna Lauren Velez! She is a Brooklyn-born, Afro-Latina actress, an identical twin, whose three-decade career spans HBO prison dramas, Showtime crime thrillers, animated superhero blockbusters, and a one-woman show she's been performing about a Cuban queen for twenty years “They call me La Lupe,” which she’s been trying to get made into a movie. In her 50’s and now 60’s alone she has racked up over 24 credits including Dexter, Power Book II: Ghost, New York Undercover, American Rust AND voiced Rio Morales the fierce, most beloved animated Latina mom in cinema history in two of the most culturally resonant animated films of the decade as in the Oscar winning Spider-Verse films. AND I was lucky enough to see her recently on stage in John Leguizamo’s “The other Americans.” In her 60’s, she wrote, starred and produced a film with her twin sister, is still booking leads, and still the only Afro-Latina in the room in most of the rooms she walks into. She is not the woman aging out of roles — she is, if anything, aging into them. #latina #afrolatina #sixties #twins #datingoversixty Learn more about your ad choices. If there is one voice to listen to when it comes to black women and menopause - let this voice be it. Omisade Burney Scott is a mother of 2 and a seventh-generation Black Southern feminist, storyteller, and reproductive justice advocate. She is the founder of the first and most influential Black-women-led platform: The Black Girl’s Guide to Surviving Menopause, dedicated to normalizing menopause through art, ancestry, and activism. She also has a podcast of the same name in it’s 6th season, the author of “Messages from the Menopausal Multiverse,” AND I love this title: “the convener” of Iranti (EE RAN tee EHjeh) Ẹ̀jẹ̀: Remembering Blood — which is the first groundbreaking gathering to focus on the menopause experiences, insights and STRENGTH of Black, Indigenous, People of Color and LGBTQIA+ individuals. She also has a substack: Hippolyta’s (hip PAA luh tuh’s) Journal which i can’t recommend enough; and is part of The (M) Factor Sequel or prequel if you will - that just premiered in March: Before the Pause AND in February had an essay published in Ms. Magazine. She took the lack of language for what was happening to her body and built the language other women now use. She is a true force and you will want to listen to every beautiful word. #menopause #blackwomenmenopause #blackgirlsguide #mfactor Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

You may know today's incredible female from the zip code she lived in for 10 years, 90210, but Jennie Garth in her 50’s is busier than ever building a brand around the three words her character Kelly Taylor said in the 90’s "I Choose Me." She now leads powerful conversations on her podcast by the same name. 2 years ago she debuted her QVC fashion line “Me by Jennie Garth.” AND Just this year she released her now NY Times bestselling memoir “I Choose Me: Chasing Joy, Finding Purpose, and Embracing Reinvention,” She is a woman after our own hearts because she's anti - anti-aging — and rejects the phrase entirely.
