by Adam Blank
Comedian Adam Blank hosts "Remember The Game?", a retro gaming podcast. Each week, Adam and his guest will select a video game that they grew up playing, and spend time reminiscing about what they loved (or hated) about it. Not intended to be a history lesson, "Remember The Game?" is more like a conversation you'd overhear on the playground as a kid. The discussions are all over the place, and are guaranteed to fill you with that warm, nostalgic feeling. (Or rage, like you felt with the underwater level in the original Ninja Turtles game). Either way, it's gonna be fun!

I loved this game back in 2009, but how has it aged over the last 17 years?? If you have a sentimental attachment to this game, you might not enjoy this episode...And before I yell at Sheva, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week we talk about how scary Resident Evil 7 is. Does anyone else miss all the licensed/tie-in games of the 90s?? And am I destined to be the third chair on Sacred Symbols???Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 "5th games": Devil May Cry 5, Metal Gear Solid 5, and Far Cry 5.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

We're finally, FINALLY, talking Oblivion. I've been chipping away at this behemoth for 9 months and I'm ready to spill my guts.I'll warn you right now, if you're looking for a deep dive into The Elder Scrolls, this isn't the show for you. I've never played this game before, so I dropped over 40 hours into a run, tried to do everything, realized it was impossible, saved the world, and now I want to both praise and vent about this game at the same time. I think I like it more than Skyrim, but boy there were a couple things that drove me insane (looking at YOU, vampirism!)My fellow vampire, Mark McCue, joins me this week. He just finished his first playthrough of Oblivion as well, and we're both excited to sound off about our favourite quests, points int he storm, items, and the debuts (aside from craving blood) that drove us crazy. I enjoyed this episode quite a bit and I hope y'all enjoy listening to a pair of noobs rant about this massive game as much as we did ranting about it. And before we close some portals, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks if gaming media has gotten too negative? What games have disappointed me the most in recent memory? And with everyone talking about Wolverine, what superhero needs their own game next??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 Bethesda games: Morrowind, Starfield, and Fallout 3.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
We'll be back with another RTG next week, but to get you through your workday here's a freebie out of our Patreon archives - my (spoiler-free) review of the winner of the 2025 Molly for Game of the Year (both by community vote and my personal pick),Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This game isn't "retro". But it's almost 10 years old, the new season of South Park is right around the corner, and quite frankly, it's an awesome game. This week we're talking South Park: The Fractured But Whole. This one's a sequel to (the also phenomenal) Stick of Truth. Instead of classic turn-based RPG combat, it's a tactical game. Instead of Lord of the Rings, the kids are playing superheroes. Both games are hilarious and like playing a season of the show. If you're a South Park fan, these are 100% must-plays.The Human Kite to my Professor Chaos, my buddy Andre, is my guest this week. We had a great time breaking down all the superhero alter egos and laughing at the easter eggs in this one. A lot of spoilers, but if you haven't played these, I hope this episode convinces you to get off your wallet. You get to fight red wine drunk Randy for fuck sakes. And before we head on down to South Park, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks how I write my podcast notes, we talk about Star Wars Zero Company, and is it cheating to use a walkthrough??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 retro South Park games: South Park (N64/PS1), Chef's Luv Shack, and South Park Rally.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week we're talking the final game in the Super Mario Land trilogy on Game Boy, Wario Land. It has almost nothing to do with Mario or Super Mario Land, but that's ok. It's still pretty sweet. And it's our first chance to play as Wario!! My buddy and Game Boy guru Patrick joins me this week to talking stealing from pirates and eating garlic. And before we start ramming into things, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks if I'm going to start reviewing more DLC on the show after the Bioshock episode last week. What are some good coop games for couples to play together? And what franchise would I take from one developer and give to another?Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 Wario titles": Master of Disguise, Wario's Woods, and Wario Land (Virtual Boy).See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
