Mississippi’s attorney general, Lynn Fitch, and her office have cleared the Senatobia police of wrongdoing after one of their officers shot and killed a 1-year-old in a Walmart Parking lot last summer. The A.G.’s office said the use of force was “justified” since the officer felt threatened, alleging that the child’s mother was in a vehicle driving toward them. The Senatobia police have not released any footage from the event.
