How good is Drew Mestemaker, and does he belong in the QB1 conversation for the 2027 NFL Draft? What does his film suggest about his future dynasty fantasy football value, and should he declare for the NFL Draft or keep developing with Eric Morris?Plus, we discuss how his fantasy ceiling compares with Keelon Russell and Kamario Taylor.Share your evaluation below: What do you need to see before putting Drew Mestemaker in the QB1 conversation?Subscribe to Devy Dojo for college prospect evaluations, NFL Draft discussion, and future dynasty rookie analysis.Follow on X:Devy Sensei: @DevySenseiChev: @Chev90“The film room is our dojo, analytics our blade.”00:00 Intro00:05 Introducing Chev and Drew Mestemaker01:19 Mestemaker’s Journey and Our Independent Film Study02:51 Off-Platform Arm Talent04:48 Deep Passing and Pocket Navigation07:20 Handling Pressure and Finding Coverage Windows10:13 Pre-Snap Recognition and Poise13:26 Why Quarterback Experience Matters15:24 Footwork and Accuracy Concerns16:49 Overstriding, Hip Rotation, and Pocket Drift19:05 Translating His Mechanics to the NFL21:18 QB1 Potential and Risky Decisions vs. Oregon23:38 Game Management and Taking Easy Completions27:15 Frame and Physical Development28:06 Chev’s Joe Burrow Comparison29:01 Dynasty Upside and Rushing Ability31:12 Declare for the NFL Draft or Return to School?33:04 Eric Morris and the Development Question34:54 Mestemaker vs. Keelon Russell and Kamario Taylor37:37 What Mestemaker Needs to Improve39:25 Final Thoughts and Where to Find Chev Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. We're combining two loaded classes for a 2-round, 24-pick mock draft to find out which future dynasty fantasy football assets deserve to come off the board first.Jeremiah Smith and Malachi Toney headline the wide receivers, but the quarterback landscape is where things get interesting. Is Darian Mensah or Keelon Russell the QB1 in Devy? How high should Kamario Taylor and Trinidad Chambliss climb? And what do we make of Arch Manning's declining stock? The running back conversation is just as intriguing. Jadan Baugh, Nate Sheppard, Kewan Lacy, and Ousmane Kromah all have arguments worth considering, but how much should we value proven production versus long-term upside? We also revisit the Nick Marsh vs. Charlie Becker debate at Indiana and discuss rising NFL Draft prospects like Reed Harris, CJ Carr, Austin Simmons, and more.Devy Sensei and Chris "Shifu" are joined by Benny Knows Ball as we evaluate the top 2027 and 2028 NFL Draft-eligible prospects through film, analytics, projected NFL translation, and fantasy football upside. Four weeks into the college football season, the 2027 dynasty rookie class already looks different. Dustin and Chris go through a quarter-season stock report on 12 of the biggest 2027 NFL Draft prospects, with six risers and six fallers from a dynasty fantasy football perspective. Trinidad Chambliss and Darian Mensah are forcing their way further into the quarterback conversation. Jadan Baugh is making a serious push at RB1. Deuce Alexander and Wyatt Young continue to climb. On the other side, there are real questions surrounding LaNorris Sellers, John Mateer, Cam Coleman, Mario Craver, Caden Durham and Isaac Brown. This isn’t just box-score scouting. We get into the film, processing, accuracy, route running, role, efficiency and the traits that actually matter when projecting these guys to the NFL. Then we hit two more 2027 names to watch, Oklahoma State QB Drew Mestemaker and Missouri QB Austin Simmons, before closing the show with an off-the-dome 2027 Superflex/TE Premium rookie mock draft. And because apparently neither of us can count when it gets past midnight, we lost track of the picks while recording and somehow turned the “quick” mock into 14 names. So yes, the numbering gets a little messy. The picks are all there. 😂 CHAPTERS 00:00 Intro 01:18 Trinidad Chambliss 📈 04:32 LaNorris Sellers 📉 07:59 Darian Mensah 📈 11:27 John Mateer 📉 16:56 Deuce Alexander 📈 20:51 Cam Coleman 📉 26:19 Wyatt Young 📈 29:36 Mario Craver 📉 34:07 Wayne Knight 📈 37:03 Jadan Baugh 📈 41:32 Caden Durham 📉 42:53 Isaac Brown 📉 45:38 Names to Watch: Drew Mestemaker & Austin Simmons 48:34 Rapid-Fire 2027 Rookie Mock Draft 54:53 Outro Learn more about your ad choices. The Devy market is already moving. Dustin and Chris are back to break down six early risers and six fallers after the opening stretch of the college football season, separating legitimate development and warning signs from small-sample noise. Kamario Taylor is starting to put the traits and production together at Mississippi State, while KJ Duff, Reed Harris, Donovan Olugbode, Jamal Rule, and Lincoln Kienholz are all making early moves up the board. On the other side, Dante Moore has not looked like the same quarterback, Nick Marsh's role at Indiana raises questions, Bryce Underwood continues to struggle as a passer, and Bryant Wesco, Jordan Marshall, and Tanook Hines have all given us reasons to reevaluate where they currently stand. The guys dig into the film, PFF metrics, usage, CFF value, and what these first few weeks actually mean for each player's long-term Devy outlook. The film room is our dojo, analytics our blade. The 2026 college football season is here, and Dustin and Chris are planting their flags on eight players they believe could make a major move in Devy fantasy football this year. They break down Malik Washington, Keelon Russell, Nate Sheppard, Nick Marsh and more, digging into the film, analytics, offensive situations and breakout potential behind each call. Which players could see their Devy value skyrocket during the 2026 season, and which flag plants will actually hit? Some Devy prospects are still living off projection. In 2026, it’s time to deliver. Chris and Dustin each bring four players they like, or have liked, who enter this college football season with something to prove. For some, it's about taking the next step toward the NFL. For others, it's staying healthy, cleaning up major holes in their game, or simply protecting the Devy value they already have. We get into CJ Bailey, Bryce Underwood, Josh Hoover, Raleek Brown, Hollywood Smothers, CJ Baxter, Mario Craver and Ryan Coleman-Williams, breaking down what we've seen so far and the questions each player needs to answer in 2026. Can Bryce Underwood take the Year 2 leap and justify his massive Devy valuation? Can Raleek Brown emerge from a crowded Texas backfield? Can Mario Craver turn his explosiveness into premium NFL Draft stock? And can Ryan Coleman-Williams finally turn the talent into consistent production? Eight talented prospects. Eight very different situations. Time to deliver. The film room is our dojo, analytics our blade. Want to win your 2026 College Fantasy Football draft? We’re digging into 6 (Hint, we actually talk way more than that) Power Four CFF values you can target after the early rounds; players with a real chance to outperform their current draft cost. This week, **Eric Froton of Yahoo Sports** enters the Dojo alongside Dustin (@DevySensei) and Tom Harvey (@TheDevyTitan) to talk CFF draft strategy, player development, camp intel and some of our favorite values heading into the 2026 college football season. 🥋 **6 CFF Values We Break Down:** • Deuce Alexander, WR — Ole Miss • Dierre Hill Jr., RB — Oregon • King Miller, RB — USC • Omarion Miller, WR — Arizona State • Winston Watkins Jr., WR — LSU • Mason Heintschel, QB — Pitt We get into much more than the box scores — role changes, offensive environment, advanced metrics, transfer situations, projected volume and why the market may still be too low on each player. Eric also gives us some great perspective on **QB development and post-hype Devy values**, including why we shouldn’t be so quick to bury young quarterbacks after one bad season. If you play **College Fantasy Football, C2C, Devy or Dynasty**, there’s plenty here to take into your upcoming drafts. ⏱️ **CHAPTERS** 00:00 — Enter the Dojo 02:32 — Deuce Alexander 07:25 — Dierre Hill Jr. 13:45 — King Miller 19:40 — Omarion Miller 25:21 — Winston Watkins Jr. 33:22 — Mason Heintschel 40:50 — QB Development & Post-Hype Devy Values 49:00 — Closing Thoughts 🥋 Join the Devy Dojo Discord: https://discord.gg/CMQcTyZqF6 📊 Rankings, ADP & Scouting Profiles - Paid Sub: https://thedevydojo.substack.com/ If you enjoyed the episode, hit the like button, subscribe and let us know in the comments: **Who is your favorite CFF value heading into the 2026 season?** #CollegeFantasyFootball #CFF #DevyFootball Learn more about your ad choices.
